About me...

Before I rattle on about myself there's one very important thing I must say.  Thanks to Annette my wife for being so supportive over the last 12 years to my crazy obsession of all things automotive.  And a special thanks for being even more supportive (what did I do?) when I decided I wanted to build an Ultima GTR.

Hi my name is James Crewe and in July of this year fell in love with the Ultima GTR.  This was a shock as my current car a Lotus Exige was the car that I thought that I would never sell (oops Sold it on the 12/10/2002 to John, hope all is well with you and the car, sniff...sniff).

I have never built a car before (only models), but I was an engineer for Rolls Royce for almost 8 years.  This should help a little, but what should help even more is that I am building this car with my dad who is a retired engineer with 42 years experience.  The car will be built in my sisters garage if the bloke who is a tenant there ever gets out, as he has stopped paying and his tenancy runs out on the 25th October.  Once this idiot is out I intend to go and prepare the garage and will provide info on that as and when it happens (here's hoping...)

I will be only building the car on weekends as I work away all week.  I hope to run weekly updates on the site as during the week I live in an hotel, so not much to do there then...
