The first 400 miles or so...

So the GTR is now over 3 weeks old and still no update, poor I know, but I have 2 good excuses:

Firstly a couple of weeks ago my PC finally packed up completely and a new one needed to be sourced. With this now done I can get back to updating the website.

The other good reason for no updates is that I have been to busy driving (BIG SMILE!), even though I'm running the car in (trying to keep below 5000rpm) there is some serious fun to be had with 520bhp & 500lbft on tap. The great news is that the experience that I am getting is the same as when Ted first took me out in the silver factory demonstrator. The power is just like an on off switch, it is so instant that even 5th gear at 50mph is fun, although this comes at a cost (speed). It is all to easy to reach 3 figure speeds in what seems like an instant and I feel the track day beckoning. The ride is excellent also, as good if not better than my old Lotus Exige. The gear change does take a little getting used to (obviously as its on the wrong side) and I have to confess that the positioning of my ignition switch allows me to just touch my knuckles on the key when moving into 5th (I may try to sort this if it becomes particularly annoying). I now have around 400 miles on the clock and I'm growing in confidence (careful!) each time I drive it. This weekend I have few visitors so hope to clean the car and take some piccies of the finished article, hope to post these next week...

Some eye candy...

As promised here are some additional piccies of the car:

Over the next few weeks I will putting a few more miles on the clock and working my way up the rev range.  At @1000 miles there needs to be an oil/filter change and after that, well the sky's the limit...

Next update sometime around that 1st service, bye for now (vroooooooooom!)...
